The fashion and luxury industries are facing historic disruption as a result of digital transformation, big data, and social media. Success in these industries now require new strategies and adaptable, innovative leadership.
The Innovation Leadership for Fashion & Luxury Consumer Brands is the result of an innovative collaboration between ELLE, the world’s number one fashion media brand and MIT Sloan Executive Education. The program is designed to provide participants with exclusive insight and a global perspective of the fashion and luxury industries.
The program is divided into three modules and locations: Madrid, Paris and the MIT Sloan’s Campus in Boston, Cambridge. The program’s unique modular structure provides a flexible and dynamic academic setting where participants can broaden their understanding of the fashion and luxury industries, and acquire frameworks to face today’s business challenges. The curriculum will delve into the areas of fast fashion and premium brands, haute couture and luxury, and innovation.
In recent years, Spain has become a major leader in the fashion industry with its new business model, fast fashion. Spain has revolutionized the prêt-à-porter concept by taking looks directly from the catwalk to the average consumer. Spain also makes a contribution to the premium brands sector through internationally known brands. In all, what we can absorb from fashion in this sunny country is how fashion and good taste can be made affordable for all budgets.
This first module in Madrid will allow participants to experience first-hand what makes Spain a global leader in the industry. Leaders from the fast fashion and premium brands industries will draw on their expertise and share first-hand why Spain has become a leader in logistics systems and distribution.

It’s nearly impossible to discuss fashion without mentioning Paris, the world capital of haute couture and luxury brands. Paris is a market leader in creativity, design, and trends that have shaped and will continue to shape the global fashion industry. This module will examine the role and influence of haute couture and luxury brands and their impact on the industry.
During sessions in Paris, key industry leaders will offer insight into topics including transforming the brand experience and the role of technology and innovation in the industry.
Dates: 19-26 April
At MIT—the epicenter of technology and innovation—participants will focus on strategy and innovation, marketing, financial decision making, and operational effectiveness in a digital world.
These core topics are presented by MIT Sloan’s internationally renowned faculty, regarded as pioneers in their fields, and driven by their groundbreaking research and industry experience.
Dates: 1-5 June
During each module, faculty will utilize the most relevant case studies and course materials aligned with each of the six focus areas to provide a global outlook of the fashion and luxury industry.
Program fees include:
Online: Tuition, all program materials including readings, presentations, and online classes.
Hybrids: Tuition, all program materials including readings, presentations, online classes, in addition to coffee breaks, light breakfast, lunch, and a welcome gala cocktail during each on-site module.
There are no scholarships or financial aid available for this program.
Between each module, you will have assignments and short projects to complete under the guidance of a tutor. You will also receive case studies and other materials to review for the next modules.
